At the intersection of complex regulation and sharp business strategy, Shavit Fragman unravels the labyrinth of the pharmaceutical world.

With the Go board as a model for success and vast experience in managing national crises, he proves that the shortcut from 'idea to license' is not just a matter of bureaucracy, but of creativity, precision and excellence that begins with thinking outside the box and ends with saving lives.

Shavit Fragman manages to do what most of us only dream of: combining the profession with the hobby - strategy, between work and pleasure, and ultimately publishing a winning and effective combination that brings commercial added value to the companies and individuals who contact him.

"We process licenses for medicines, medical equipment and health products for companies and approvals for drug or cannabis pharma warehouses," explains Fragman, who also serves as business development manager for a leading pharmaceutical distribution company in Israel. "I make sure that a company meets high standards of proper manufacturing (GMP) and distribution (GDP) requirements. In addition, I also assist in activities, partly pro bono, for people to import medicines that are not registered in Israel (29C), some of which are still in research."

Owner of the strategic consulting company "Mind Pharma Europe". Specialization: Corporate regulatory management, registration of drugs, medical equipment and cosmetics. ֿResume: Former director of the pharmacy department at the Corona Control Center of the Ministry of Health and lecturer in strategy and industrial pharmacy. Added value: A combination of scientific writing, focus, and marketing orientation, shortens the registration and licensing processes by many months.

How do you process this import?

"I manage things in the background, generalize the project, make sure there is a doctor's prescription and paperwork from the manufacturer and all the documents required for import. Assist in establishing contacts with suppliers abroad and make sure that the medicine reaches a hospital, pharmacy or medical institution."

Shavit Fragman is the owner of the strategic consulting company Mind Pharma Europe, which also acts as a drug registration holder. Behind him are years of work in senior positions in leading companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare fields and also as a director of the pharmacy department in the Corona Control Center of the Ministry of Health, and business and marketing consulting for large multinational companies. He led the registration and launch of modern and advanced medical preparations and products and their marketing, and at the same time served as a lecturer in strategy, industrial pharmacy and formulations.

"For me, the pharmaceutical world is like a Go board game: you have to choose the right strategy to build market share, maintain it, and become a leader."

Fragman is known as a elite special task force professional in the pharmaceutical field who comes to solve the regulatory maze quickly and efficiently, or as he explains, "lead from idea to license" and  to commercialization.

In the pharma world , the distance between an innovative product and the shelf passes through a complicated "regulatory maze." Fragman acts as a "special tasks expert" for companies in Israel and around the world: Strategic consulting: refining the added value of the product and building marketing differentiation. Outsourcing: providing supervised pharmacist services to companies that focus on marketing. Speed and efficiency: submitting optimal requests without errors, ensuring rapid availability of drugs and medical equipment to the consumer.

What other areas do you work in?

"On the strategic business side, we distill the added value of the product for the company, create positioning, differentiation and branding. This is how we can effectively achieve leadership and a jump in sales. I previously managed corporate and international regulation in pharmaceutical companies, specializing in submitting special applications such as drugs for rare diseases for registration and support until their launch. I am not afraid of challenges and enjoy the diversity. The process of preparing for submission that may take other companies many months, we can also do in a short period of time. Our vision is to lead to the rapid licensing of innovative drugs, important and high-quality medical equipment, including high-quality cosmetics. This way, the consumer benefits from rapid availability."

Can't pharma companies do this work themselves?

"The law requires that a pharma company shall have a designated pharmacist who can submit applications to the Ministry of Health for a license. There are many companies that focus on marketing and outsource regulation, so they turn to us. Ultimately, the submission procedures for all drugs are similar, with the quality and content of the application being what matters. Like any project, we start with a strategy. In the submission, I try to combine scientific writing with emphasizing the product's benefits and importance, with the goal being to submit the application without errors and in the best possible way."

To assemble a perfect application or marketing plan, Fragman draws on his experience, talent, skills, and a lot of creativity and thinking outside the box. Skills acquired in the strategy game of Go, which originated in China and is considered the oldest board game in the world.

"I discovered the game during my pharmacy studies in the academic reserve at the university," reveals Fragman, who invests heavily in promoting the game in Israel, also through the "Nitzozot" association, where he volunteers. Shavit previously produced the first three congresses that dealt with the strategy game of Go in Israel.

What is the relationship between an ancient Chinese strategy game and the modern pharmaceutical market? For Shavit Fragman, it is a tool for everything: Territory - Market share | Just like in "Go", in the business world, the goal is to increase market share while using resources wisely and economically. Values | The game instills excellence, improves memory, and improves decision making under pressure. Strategy as a way of life | Fragman, who volunteers to promote the game in Israel, sees "Go" as a spiral of excellence that helps him build leads and higher profitability for his clients.

"It is a kind of 'market share' game. You play with black and white stones and a wooden board. In the game, you surround areas and divide the board - the 'business market.' In addition, the game instills values of excellence, improving memory, decision-making processes, balance, and educational values," concludes Fragman. "There are prestigious universities that teach Go as part of their MBA studies. Go accompanies me as a way of life and a spiral to excellence. It helps me a lot in the business world where you can increase your market share but you have to choose the right strategy, efficient use of resources to build and maintain a large market share for the customer, leadership, and higher profitability."
